MEEKNESS (prasia) — mildness and moderation in disposition towards God and others; humility; flexible and considerate of others; a submission that trusts and relies on God during provocation, violation, and injustice; a fruit of the Holy Spirit, not forced by human will, but that accepts God as good and just; strength under control; velvet covered steel.

MEEKNESS AND AUTHORITY

(Scripture/Prayer Points)

Psalm 25:9 KJV –The meek will he guide in judgment; and the meek will he teach his way.  Lord, let meekness create a yieldedness and surrender of our ways to Yours; as we humble ourselves, we give You the reins of our character and nature and pray “not as I will but Your will be done”; let meekness guide our judgments and teach us Your ways.

MEEKNESS AND MAJESTY

(Scripture/Prayer Points)

Psalm 149:4 KJV – For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.  Lord, today with meekness we place out lives in Your hands to mould and shape us for Your purpose; we make our hearts soft and pliable so You can work what is best for us and most productive for Your kingdom come; we have come to learn that that which we hold too tightly in our hands becomes deformed in our hands, so with humility, we pray perfect and beautify that which concerns us as we submit to Your will not ours—we place our character in Your hands.

MEEKNESS AND MODESTY

(Scripture/Prayer Points)

Philippians 2:5 NKJV — Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.  Lord, help us to embrace a humble heart and a disposition of gentleness and mildness towards others so that we can best imitate our Christ who said “I am meek and lowly of heart”; may our gentleness soften hearts and our soft answers turn away wrath.

MEEKNESS AND GLORY

(Scripture/Prayer Points)

James 3:13-18 NKJV – Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.  Lord, may we put our meekness on display, not to be seen of men to our credit, but that men may see our good works done in humility and glorify our Father in heaven; we showcase, not false humility from a deceitful heart, but true humility drawn from being pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and food fruits without partiality or hypocrisy.  Lord, the fruit of humility yields the crop of, not thinking less of ourselves, but thinking about ourselves less and thinking more about others.

SELF-CONTROL

SELF-CONTROL (egkrateia) –temperance; continence; consistency; self-discipline; strength under the control of a higher power and wiser master; a learned knowledge, acquired skill, and infused ability to unstrain passions and not abuse divine ability entrusted to servants of God; this control is not born of human strength or power of will but above and beyond the natural into the supernatural fruit of the Spirit of self-control bearing a harvest of righteousness.

1 Corinthians 9:25 KJV

Every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.

TEMPERED THINKING

(Scripture/Prayer Points)

2 Timothy 1:7 –For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline.  Lord, thank you that through the fruit of self-control we can bridle the untamed soul and be responsible with the supernatural entrusted to us not to misuse or abuse; Lord, through tempered thinking we can cast down wrong thinking and take captive right thinking to have a renewed mind for a transformed life.

TEMPERED MEMBERS

(Scripture/Prayer Points)

1 Corinthians 1:24-25—God hath tempered the body together…that there should be no division in the body; but the members should have the same care one for another.   Lord, we pray You temper each member of Your body to make us pliable and flexible to mould and shape us together collectively to form Christ’s nature; we pray for the will of self-control to keep members from overstepping their place and moving them to the place where You gifted, graced, and assigned them.

TEMPERED MENTORS

(Scripture/Prayer Points)

Titus 1:8-9—For a spiritual leader must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to greediness; But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, TEMPERATE; Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince those who oppose it.  Lord, give us tempered leaders who have been tried and true as stewards of God; raise up spiritual leaders who lead by example and teach by truth; we cry out for leaders who have mastery of fleshly appetites and affections and skill in controlling the anointings, attitudes, and benefits of the supernatural ministry.

CONCLUSION:  AGAINST SUCH THERE IS NO LAW (Gal. 5:23)

The Scripture says, There is now therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death…for those who do not walk after the flesh but after the Spirit (Rom. 8:1-2).  Jesus did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it for us.   We live under grace, not under the law, therefore we are called to a higher standard, to live by the Great Commandment and Royal Law of loving others as we love ourselves.  We live not by love of the law but by the law of love.  In living by the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus we no longer make any provisions for the flesh but walk and live according to the Spirit.  Encompassing this is the garden within where the seed of God has been implanted.  The trees and vineyard bear the fruit of the Spirit in every variety in due season.  Here is where it was for freedom that Christ sets us free and if the Son has set us free then we are free indeed.  Because the fruit of the Spirit is in abundance, the good and noble ground, of the HEART, RELATIONSHIPS, and CHARACTER will experience the blessing of the Lord, which makes us rich and adds no sorrow to it; He daily loads us with benefits and via the fruit born of Holy Spirit we have treasure 30, 60, and 100-fold in the present life and the life to come.
