Our Leadership
On January 21, 2024, The Rock Family Worship Center gathered along with the Board of Directors to pray over Pastors Rusty and Leisa Nelson and Pastors Scott and Britt Silcox. The congregation celebrated as Pastor Rusty and Leisa passed the baton of Lead Pastor to Scott and Britt and stepped into their next season serving as Apostolic Overseers.
Scott and Britt Silcox are excited to lead the church into the future of forming Kingdom disciples that advance the Kingdom of God. After serving on the Pastoral staff for 23 years, they desire to plant the original values of the church from its foundation into the next generation. They believe our church body is uniquely positioned to carry a multi-generational anointing that demonstrates the presence of Jesus into our communities. Scott and Britt are creatives at heart and highly collaborative in their leadership style. Their emphasis on presence, formation and kingdom as essential pillars of the house have become the model for the restructure of the leadership teams as a whole. Together, the Rock staff is dedicated to creating atmospheres for encountering Jesus, forming disciples in the way of Christ, and sharing the Good News of Jesus with sacrificial generosity.
Rusty and Leisa Nelson are committed to multi-generational vision and raising up sons and daughters. After founding the church 25 years ago and working hand-in-hand with Pastors Scott and Britt Silcox for over 20 of those year, they have joyfully passed the baton of leadership to the Silcoxes. As Pastors Rusty and Leisa have transitioned into an apostolic role, they continue to give support, encouragement, and wisdom to the Rock and a growing number of diverse churches. They are enjoying this new season of traveling, mentoring and speaking into the health and growth of other pastors, overseeing a ministry alliance (R3), and advocating for foster care and adoption. They are parents to four wonderful adult children, parents-in-love to three spouses, and grandparents to a growing number of little ones.
